But what does God say?

The world, media, popular movies, and music of today tell us that there is no God, and that if there is, He certainly doesn't care about us, let alone love us. But, His holy Book tells us the opposite. God, speaking through the prophet Isaiah, tells us that, first of all, He is the Creator, and made everything (Isa. 45:24). Then He tells us that He redeemed (ransomed, or, saved) us, and calls us by name. Think of that - the great Creator of the universe knows my name. And, He goes even further - He says we are His, that we belong to Him! He has promised to be with us when we go through trials, and says we are precious in His sight. (Isa 43) Why? Because He loves us. That really is too great to wrap around. Just think about that today. You are loved.
