Recouperating...

As I've been recovering from my knee surgery, I've been able to sit outside a lot and just observe things going on out there. As always, I have had a lot of fun watching the hummingbirds dart around, fight, and squeak. I know that in another month they will be on their way to wherever they go when fall comes here. God is so good to fill the trees with beautiful birds to listen to and watch.

I've also been able to watch sunrises, and it never fails to take my breath away when I sit on my porch and watch the light over the mountains in the distance get brighter and brighter, and then that bright red ball forms into light. The mist that hangs over the mountains and separates the ranges, with that beautiful red-orange light just brings me pure joy. Then it changes into a rose color, then peach, then tangerine, then light. It is such a quiet event, but sometimes I think it should be accompanied by beautiful music so people don't miss it!

I know God is there when I see these things.

Hope you are feeling better Jan! I got my right hip replaced on June 2 so I feel your pain! I'm still not 100% but I'm okay. I finally found Bonnie Burns tonight! Actually, Kerry Musser did and told me. She is now Bonnie Grow and is on FB. She is in my friends list and in Kerry's. Are we FB friends? I can't remember. Anyway, all is well here. Esther and I are coming up on three years back together next month. God is good. Blessings on ya Jan! - Dan
